Bernard Lacombe
Bernard Lacombe (; 15 August 1952 – 17 June 2025) was a French professional football player and manager. He played as a striker, mainly with Lyon, Bordeaux and Saint-Étienne and the France national team. Career Lacombe began his professional career with hometown club Lyon in 1969. One of his teammates, Aimé Jacquet, would be later his team manager (and the manager of the France national team which won the 1998 FIFA World Cup). Lacombe earned his first cap for France in 1973. He went on to represent his nation at the 1978 World Cup, scoring after only 30 seconds against Italy, the fastest goal ever for a French player, and also the first goal of that tournament. Lacombe also played at the 1982 World Cup and won UEFA Euro 1984. Ligue 1 (; ), officially known as Ligue 1 McDonald's France, McDonald's for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in France and the highest level of the French football league system. Administered by the Ligue de Football Professionnel, Ligue 1 is contested by 18 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Ligue 2. Seasons run from August to May. Frederico Chaves Guedes (born 3 October 1983), also known as Fred (), is a Brazilian former professional association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker. Fred began his career at América Mineiro before transferring to local rivals Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, Cruzeiro in 2004. After two seasons there, he moved to Olympique Lyonnais, Lyon of France in a protracted transfer saga, and won three consecutive Ligue 1 titles. Cláudio Roberto da Silva (born 29 May 1976), commonly known as Cláudio Caçapa or simply Caçapa (), is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a central defender. Cristiano Marques Gomes (born 3 June 1977), or simply Cris, is a Brazilian football manager and a former player who is the manager of Championnat National club Châteauroux. Previously he was manager of GOAL FC, and spent three years as manager of the under-19 squad of Lyon. A former centre-back, Cris is also nicknamed "the policeman" by way of reference to his authoritarian nature on the pitch and his four months of experience in a police department in Guarulhos. He is the founder of Cegid (Compagnie Européenne de Gestion par l'Informatique Décentralisée), and from 1987 to 2023, he served as the president of French football club Lyon, which he had owned from 1987 to 2022 before selling a majority stake to John Textor.
