Bernard Davey
Bernard Davey (born 29 March 1943) is a retired British weather forecaster and television presenter. Davey was born in Belfast in 1943. He was educated at St Kevin's Primary School and St Mary's Christian Brothers' Grammar School, Belfast, St Mary's CBS in the city. After moving to England, he joined the Meteorological Office in 1962 to train as a weather observer. He was subsequently posted to various locations around the UK and overseas, including two years in Tobruk in the late 1960s and three years at RAF Laarbruch in Germany, before returning to take charge of weather observation at RAF Lyneham in 1978. In 1985 he moved to the London Weather Centre where he continued to work as a forecaster, being appointed as the BBC's 32nd weather forecast presenter in March 1987. St Mary's Christian Brothers' Grammar School, Belfast
St Mary's Christian Brothers' Grammar School (St Mary's CBGS) is a Roman Catholic boys' grammar school in Belfast, Northern Ireland. History The origins of the school can be traced to St Mary's School which was established in Divis Street by the Irish Christian Brothers in 1866. The Brothers had been invited by Patrick Dorrian, Bishop of Down and Connor, to educate the working class children of the area. In 1929, a new secondary school was built in the nearby Barrack Street. The students were largely drawn from the surrounding district but the school later began to attract students from across Belfast and wider afield. Due to the growing student population, it was decided in the 1960s to build a new school. This opened in a site off the Glen Road in 1968. Royal Air Force , more commonly known as RAF ICAO EDUL (from 1 January 1995 ETUL) was a Royal Air Force station, a military airfield, located in Germany on its border with the Netherlands. Royal Air Force Lyneham otherwise known as RAF Lyneham was a Royal Air Force station located northeast of Chippenham, Wiltshire, and southwest of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. The station was the home of all the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft of the Royal Air Force (RAF) before they were relocated to RAF Brize Norton. RAF Lyneham was the Royal Air Force's principal transport hub, operating the modern Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules, and the older Lockheed C-130K Hercules.
