Marlies Schild
Marlies Raich (née Schild, born 31 May 1981) is a retired Austrian FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup Alpine skiing, alpine ski racer. She specializes in the technical disciplines of Slalom skiing, slalom and giant slalom. Schild won four Alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics, Olympic medals, with silvers in the combined (2006) and slalom (2010, 2014) and a bronze in slalom (2006). She has seven FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, World Championship medals and has won five FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup season titles. Schild completed her World Cup career with 37 wins, all but two in slalom. She retired from international competition at age 33 in September 2014. Courchevel
Courchevel () is a French Alps ski resort located in the Tarentaise Valley. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named for their altitudes in metres. The resort centre of Courchevel is at 1,747 metres (5,732 ft). Sports events from the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 2023 World Ski Championships took place in Courchevel. Lenzerheide ( Romansh: ''Lai'') is a mountain resort in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland at the foot of the Parpaner Rothorn. The village lies in the municipality Vaz/Obervaz in the district of Albula, sub-district Alvaschein. The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit of alpine skiing competitions, launched in 1966 by a group of ski racing friends and experts which included French journalist Serge Lang (skiing), Serge Lang and the alpine ski team directors from France (Honore Bonnet) and the United States Ski Team, USA (Bob Beattie (skiing), Bob Beattie).
