Bernadett Németh
Bernadett Anita Németh (born 6 September 1996) is a Hungarian ice hockey player and member of the Hungarian national ice hockey team. She has played with MAC Budapest in the European Women's Hockey League (EWHL) and Női OB I bajnokság since 2025. Playing career As a junior ice hockey player with the Hungarian national under-18 team, she participated in the Top Division tournaments of the IIHF U18 Women's World Championship in 2013 and 2014, and in both the Division I qualification and Division I tournament in 2012. As of 2024, Németh had represented Hungary at twelve IIHF World Women's Championships – twice at the Division II A level, three times at the Division I B level, four times at the Division I A level, and at the Top Division tournaments in 2021, 2022, and 2023. IIHF World Women's Championship
The IIHF Women's World Championship is the premier international women's tournament in ice hockey. It is governed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The official world competition was first held in 1990, with four more championships held in the 90s. From 1989 to 1996, and in years that there was no world tournament held, there were European Championships and in 1995 and 1996 a Pacific Rim Championship. From the first Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Tournament in 1998 onward, the Olympic tournament was played instead of the IIHF Championships. Afterwards, the IIHF decided to hold Women's Championships in Olympic years, starting in 2014, but not at the top level. 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II
The 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II consisted of two international ice hockey tournaments organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Division II A and Division II B represent the fourth and fifth tier of the IIHF Women's World Championship. Previously, these tournaments were known as Division III and Division IV. The IIHF U18 Women's World Championship, officially the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women's World Championship, is an annual ice hockey tournament for national women's under-18 (U18) ice hockey teams, administered by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It is the junior edition of the IIHF Women's World Championship and participation is limited to female ice hockey players under 18 years of age. The 2012 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship Division I tournament was the fourth Division I tournament of the U18 Women's World Championship in ice hockey to be organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). IIHF
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; ; ) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 84 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL). In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as goalie or netminder) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their own team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation
The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation (, , MJSZ) is the governing body of ice hockey in Hungary. The federation was founded under the leadership of György Pásztor in 1988, when it separated from the Hungarian Ice Sports Association. 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship
The 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship was the 22nd edition of the IIHF World Women's Championship, an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), contested in Brampton, Canada from 5 to 16 April 2023 at the CAA Centre. The United States won their tenth title after defeating Canada 6–3 in the final, while Czechia captured bronze over Switzerland. Format The top five teams from the previous tournament were placed in Group A and the teams that finished sixth through ninth in the 2022 tournament, plus France, which was promoted after the 2022 tournament, were placed in Group B.
