Berkshire Bus Routes 701, 702 And 703
Windsor Express (The London Line 701 and 702 & Flightline 703) are bus routes that run between Reading, Windsor, Bracknell and London. History In 2015, FirstGroup announced plans to withdraw all their services, including route 702, from Bracknell. However, it was subsequently announced that the route would be retained. In December 2017, Reading Buses took over the 702 route from FirstGroup. For the first day of service on 24 December, passengers could board for free and various heritage vehicles were used on the route. First had previously announced it would withdraw the route as it said it had become unsustainable due to increasing costs of operation. On 8 May 2018, route 703 was introduced. Buses were branded as the "Royal Express" and painted in a gold and purple livery, coinciding with the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Hyde Park Corner is between Knightsbridge, Belgravia and Mayfair in London, England. It primarily refers to a major road junction at the southeastern corner of Hyde Park, that was originally planned by architect Decimus Burton. The junction includes a broad green-space roundabout in its centre, which is now the setting for Burton's triumphal Wellington Arch. Langley, also known as Langley Marish, is an area of Slough in Berkshire, England. It is east of Slough town centre and west of Charing Cross in Central London. St John The Baptist Church, Windsor
St John the Baptist Church is a parish church in Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. It is dedicated to St John the Baptist. The church was rebuilt in Gothic Revival style in 1822. It is the civic church of Windsor, and many Mayors of Windsor are buried in the church and churchyard. The church is Grade II* listed. Two of the three Protestant Windsor Martyrs, who were burnt at the stake in 1543, were associated with the church. Old church The original settlement at Windsor was at what is now called Old Windsor. Henry I moved the Royal Court to the Windsor Castle site in New Windsor. History Former hospital The hospital is located near the site of a former hospital that has its origins in a Victorian country residence known as "Heatherfield" built in 1876, possibly for the Farrar family (whose motto 'Ferre va Ferme' appears over the front door). Bracknell () is a town and civil parish in Berkshire, England, the westernmost area within the Greater London Urban Area and the administrative centre of the borough of Bracknell Forest.
