Berkin Kamil Arslan (born 3 February 1992) is a Turkish footballer who currently plays as a winger for Manisa BB. In June 2007, he signed a three-year contract with Galatasaray which was later extended by another two years. After 78 matches for the reserve team he joined Kartalspor on loan in January 2012. His contract with Galatasaray expired in May 2012 and he joined Şanlıurfaspor Şanlıurfaspor is a Turkish sports club located in Urfa. Berkin Elvan
Berkin Elvan (5 January 1999 – 11 March 2014) was a 15-year-old boy who was hit on the head by a tear-gas canister fired by a police officer in Istanbul during the June 2013 anti-government protests in Turkey. He died on March 11, 2014. Lawyers representing the family said Elvan's condition worsened over the last week of his life, with his weight dropping to 16 kg from 45 kg. Widespread demonstrations erupted following Berkin's death. He was buried at the Feriköy Cemetery, Istanbul. His father was from Tokat, while his mother was from Tunceli. Events On the 16 June 2013, Berkin Elvan was in an area where the Gezi Park protests unfolded near his home in Okmeydanı, Istanbul. That day his mother wanted to go out and buy bread, but Berkin said that the streets were too dangerous and because he was younger, he could run faster in case of an emergency. Berkin Usta (29 May 2000 – 27 March 2025) was a Turkish alpine skier who competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Biography Berkin Usta was born in Bursa, Turkey on 29 May 2000. His father Yahya was a national alpine skier. He began skiing at the age of two. He studied International Trade and Business at Istanbul Bilgi University. Usta competed as an alpine skier, and was a member of Bursa 16 Sports Club. He participated in the grand slalom event of the 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Erzurum, Turkey, and ranked 21st. He competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. He finished 43rd in the giant slalom and failing to finish in the slalom.
