Erden Kıral (10 April 1942 – 17 July 2022) was a Turkish film director and screenwriter. He directed 12 films from 1978 on. His 1979 film, '' The Canal'', was entered into the 11th Moscow International Film Festival, and his 1983 film, '' A Season in Hakkari'', was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear – Special Jury Prize. Rekin Teksoy (1928 – May 30, 2012) was a Turkish lawyer, author and translator. Career Teksoy taught courses in Istanbul University’s Communications Faculty on ''Art of Cinema'' and ''Cinema and Literature Relations'' for over twenty years. He served on the executive board of ''Turkish Cinematech Association''. He also published articles of film criticism in the 1960s and later became one of the founding members of ''Turkish Foundation of Cinema and Audiovisual Culture'' (TURSAK). In 1994, Teksoy began to prepare and present the weekly cinema and literature program for Turkish Radio and Television 2 ( TRT 2); the shows continued for 601 weeks. Tuncel Tayanç Kurtiz (1 February 1936 – 27 September 2013) was a Turkish theatre, movie and TV series actor, playwright, and film director.
