Bengt Åberg (born 16 December 1945) is a Swedish former tennis player. During 1970, Åberg competed at the Scandinavian Indoor Championships in Oslo and lost in the final to Jan-Erik Lundqvist. He made his debut on the Grand Prix tennis circuit at the 1971 Swedish Open held at Båstad and lost in the first round to Manuel Santana Manuel Santana Martínez (10 May 1938 – 11 December 2021), also known as Manolo Santana, was a Spanish tennis player. Birgitta Lindström
Birgitta Lindström (born 14 January 1948) is a Finnish former tennis player. She has also been known by her married name Birgitta Warbach. Lindström was the girls' singles champion at the 1966 Wimbledon Championships and the first Finn to win a grand slam title. She represented Finland at the 1968 Federation Cup, where she teamed up with elder sister Christina. Scandinavian Indoor Championships
The Scandinavian Indoor Championships also known as the Scandinavian Covered Court Championships and the Scandinavian Indoor Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament held from 1936 through 1979. History The tournament was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Swedish Lawn Tennis Association and was first held on the indoor courts of the B-Hall in Stockholm. The location of the tournament alternated between the four Scandinavian capitals Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo and the event was usually held at the end of January or the beginning of February. The competitors were mainly European players. The tournament struggled in Open Era, the mixed doubles event was cancelled in 1971, and the championships were abolished in 1979. Jan-Erik Lundqvist (born 14 April 1937) is a Swedish former international tennis player. During the entire 1960s he was Sweden's best tennis player. At the height of his career, he won at least 35 international titles and played 91 Davis Cup-matches from 1957 to 1970. Lundqvist was ranked among the 10 best amateur players (rankings made by leading tennis journalist Lance Tingay at the ''Daily Telegraph'') in the world during most of the 1960s, reaching as high as world No. 3 in 1964. Lundqvist declined professional offers from Jack Kramer in 1960 and 1965. The ITF Grand Prix Circuit was a professional tennis tour for male players founded in 1970 as the ILTF Grand Prix Tennis Circuit it was administered by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and ran annually until 1989 when it and the rival WCT Circuit were replaced by a single world wide ATP Tour. The Swedish Open is a professional tennis tournament held in Båstad, Sweden. It is played on outdoor clay courts in July. The men's event (sponsored by Skistar) is an ATP Tour 250 tournament on the ATP Tour. The women's event (sponsored by Collector) was held between 2009 and 2017 as an International tournament and successor to the Nordic Light Open in Stockholm, and from 2019 onwards is a challenger-level tournament.
