Benjamin Mines (born May 13, 2000) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Loudoun United FC in the USL Championship. Youth soccer Mines joined the New York Red Bulls Academy in 2015, playing for the U-16 side during the 2015–16 season. He also appeared for United Soccer League side New York Red Bulls II in 2016, signing on an amateur contract. He made his debut for New York Red Bulls II on August 19, 2016, coming on as a second-half substitute for Junior Flemmings in a 1–0 victory over Louisville City FC. Mines remained with Red Bulls II under an amateur contract during the 2017 season, making his season debut in a 3–3 draw against Pittsburgh Riverhounds. 2025 USL Championship Season
The 2025 USL Championship season is the 15th season of the USL Championship, the eighth season under Division II sanctioning, and 30th season overall of a national division 2 league, in the United States. 24 teams in two conferences are competing in the regular season. Lexington SC joined from USL League One. Memphis 901 FC withdrew because it was unable to secure construction of a soccer-specific stadium. The team transferred their franchise rights to Santa Barbara Sky FC, which will begin play in the 2026 season. The Brooklyn FC men's team, which was scheduled to begin play in 2025, elected to postpone its debut to the 2026 season. 2018 USL Season
The 2018 USL season was the eighth season of the United Soccer League and second under Division II sanctioning. The previous season, the USL had provisional Div. II sanctioning from the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) along with the North American Soccer League, but was given full sanctioning for the 2018 season with a two-year deadline to meet the full requirements set by U.S. Soccer.
