Ben Clark (politician)
Ben Clark is an American politician who served in the North Carolina Senate from the 21st district (representing constituents in Hoke County, North Carolina, Hoke and Cumberland County, North Carolina, Cumberland counties) from 2013 to 2023. He also served as secretary of the Senate Democratic caucus. On September 20, 2021, Clark announced he wouldn't seek re-election in 2022. On November 22, 2021, Clark announced he would run for the congress in the newly-drawn NC-09 Congressional district. NC Senate During five terms in the NC Senate, Clark has made his focus supporting the military, expanding healthcare access, and providing every child with a sound education. Clark led the effort to reopen NC schools after COVID-19 rates fell. Hoke County is a County (United States), county in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, its population was 52,082. Its county seat is Raeford, North Carolina, Raeford. The county is home to part of the Fort Bragg military reservation. Thomas Moses McInnis (born April 16, 1954) is an American politician. He was elected to the North Carolina State Senate in 2014. A Republican, he serves the 25th District which previously included Anson, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly and a portion of Rowan counties. Due to the redrawing of the legislative district maps in 2018, District 25 now includes Anson, Moore, Richmond and Scotland Counties. McInnis was born in Richmond County, North Carolina.
