Belsat (; ; stylised as B☰LSAT) is a Polish free-to-air terrestrial and satellite television channel aimed at Belarus. The channel is a subsidiary of TVP S.A. From the outset, it has been co-funded by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international donors. Broadcasting platforms Satellite and cable networks Belsat broadcasts from the Astra 4A satellite, which covers the European region of the former USSR. In Ukraine, it is available on most cable networks. In Poland, it is carried by approximately 20% of cable networks. In Belarus, however, it is unavailable on cable or digital networks due to a ban by the authorities. Internet The channel's programming is broadcast live via the belsat.eu website, YouTube, and the BelsatSmart app for Smart TVs. Meanwhile, the БелсатТВ app for Android and iOS tablets and smartphones allows viewers to watch live, and read the latest news with embedded videos. Beata Maria Szydło (, née Kusińska ; born 15 April 1963) is a Polish politician who has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2019. A member of Law and Justice (PiS), she previously served as the prime minister of Poland from 2015 to 2017. Jacek Olgierd Kurski (, born 22 February 1966 in Gdańsk) is a Polish politician and journalist who has been described as a "spin doctor" for the national-conservative PiS party. Political career Kurski was first elected to the Sejm on 25 September 2005, getting 26,446 votes in 25 – Gdańsk as a member of the Law and Justice party. Witold Jan Waszczykowski (; born 5 May 1957) is a Polish politician. He was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Poland), Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2015 and 2018. Agnieszka Maria Romaszewska-Guzy (born 15 January 1962) is a Polish press and television journalist, director of Biełsat TV (2007–2024) and since 2011, vice-president of the Association of Polish Journalists. Biography Romaszewska-Guzy is the daughter of Zofia Romaszewska and Zbigniew Romaszewski. After the imposition of martial law, she was interned for five months. Until 1989, she cooperated with the opposition movement, participated, inter alia, in the Freedom and Peace Movement. In 1987, she graduated from the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw.
