This is a list of the Belgium national football team's results from 1890 to the present day that, for various reasons, are ''not'' accorded the status of official internationals. The nine games played between Belgium and England's amateur team are not considered official by the opponents; this also applies to a game played between Belgium and England in 1946, which is classified by the English FA as an unofficial 'Victory International'. Belgium National Football Team
The Belgium national football team has represented Belgium in men's international Association football, football since Évence Coppée Trophy, their maiden match in 1904. The squad is under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and is governed in Europe by UEFA—both of which were co-founded by the Belgian team's supervising body, the Royal Belgian Football Association. Periods of regular Belgian representation at the highest international level, from 1920 to 1938, from 1980 to 2002 and again from 2014 onwards, have alternated with mostly unsuccessful qualification rounds. Most of Belgium's home matches are played at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Belgium's national team have participated in three quadrennial major football competitions. Gaston Peltier (2 August 1877 – unknown) was a French Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), Forward and who competed in the Football at the 1900 Summer Olympics, football tournament at the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris, winning a silver medal as a member of the Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques, USFSA Olympic team representing France, which was primarily made up of Club Français players. Paul Blanchard (footballer)
Paul Harwood Blanchard (24 December 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio – 22 June 2011 in Chinnor, Oxfordshire, UK) was one of the early flying instructors of the Cambridge University Gliding Club (1947–49) and author of ''Elementary Gliding – A Pupil's Manual''. Blanchard graduated in Natural Sciences from St John's College in 1948, becoming Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) in his third undergraduate year. Elementary Gliding Blanchard wrote the first version of ''Elementary Gliding'' and offered it to the BGA and the Surrey Gliding Club, however they were not interested in marketing it. He subsequently asked the CUGC to produce and distribute it. The result was a duplicated "Second Edition", dated February 1952, "compiled by P.H. Blanchard", with technical drawings by Roger Austin and cartoons by Pete Sullivan, both CUGC members. Walter Potts (footballer)
Walter Potts (born 6 August 1876) was an English footballer who played for Belgian clubs Antwerp and Beerschot AC between 1899 and 1905. Club career Walter Potts and his younger brother Herbert were strikers for Antwerp FC at the end of the 19th century, making his debut against FC Liégeois on 12 November 1899, and helping his side to a 5–3 win, thus ending Liégeois' 23-match unbeaten run. In the 1899–1900 Belgian First Division, they narrowly missed out on reaching the national final after losing a tie-breaker playoff to Racing de Bruxelles 1–0. Following this, the majority of the players and the Potts brothers left the club to join the newly founded Beerschot AC under the chairmanship of Max Elsen and later in the season Paul Havenith. Koninklijke Beerschot Voetbalclub Antwerpen (), or simply Beerschot, is a Belgian professional football club located in Antwerp, that competes in the top tier Pro League after promotion from second tier in 2023–24 season. Belgium Vs Netherlands Cups
The Belgium vs Netherlands Cups were a series of international football friendly cup matches contested by the national teams of Belgium and the Netherlands. From their first unofficial friendly derbies in the early 1900s, until the mid-1920s, Belgium and the Netherlands competed for floating trophies. During the encounters in Belgium the teams played for the Coupe Vanden Abeele until 1925, while in the Netherlands they faced off for the Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad Beker until 1923. In total, there has been 39 Belgian-Dutch friendly cup duels, of which 35 were official internationals. The Netherlands national football team ( or simply ''Het Nederlands elftal'') has represented the Netherlands in international men's football matches since 1905. The men's national team is controlled by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), the governing body for football in the Netherlands, which is a part of UEFA, under the jurisdiction of FIFA. Jack Wood (referee)
John Bertram Wood, better known as Jack Wood (20 October 1872 – 10 October 1921), was an English footballer and referee. He is best known for being the fundamental head behind the foundation of French club White Rovers in 1891, one of the first football clubs in Paris, and then serving the club as its captain in the mid-1890s. He then became a referee and officiated at the football tournament of the 1900 Summer Olympics, in which he oversaw a match between the representative sides of France and Belgium. He also refereed a match between the official sides of those two nations on 22 April 1906. His brother Sid also played for White Rovers.
