Bel Air Rivière Sèche, more often referred to simply as Bel Air, is a village in the Flacq district of Mauritius. The village is administered by the Bel Air Rivière Sèche Village Council under the aegis of the Flacq District Council. According to the census by Statistics Mauritius in 2011, the population of the village was 17,605. The Districts of the Republic of Mauritius are the second-level administrative divisions after the Outer Islands of Mauritius. Flacq District
Flacq () is a district of Mauritius, situated in the east of the island. It is the largest district, with an area of 297.9 km2. The population estimate is 138,221 (31 December 2022). Places of interest * The small village of Trou d'Eau Douce is the site for visitors to take boats for tours on Île aux Cerfs island. * The beach Belle Mare attracts both Mauritians and tourists. Statistics Mauritius, formerly known as the Central Statistics Office (CSO) until 2000, is the national statistical agency of Mauritius. It operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and is responsible for all statistical activities except for fisheries and health statistics which fall under the responsibility of the respective ministry. According to the Statistics Act No. 38 of 2000, "Statistics Mauritius shall constitute the central statistical authority and depository of all officials statistics produced in Mauritius and as such, shall collect, compile, analyse and disseminate accurate, relevant, timely and high quality statistics and related information on social, demographic, economic and financial activities to serve the needs of public and private users." Mauritius Time, or MUT, is the time zone used by the Indian Ocean island nation of Mauritius. The zone is four hours ahead of UTC ( UTC+04:00). Mauritius does not use daylight saving time, however, it has been used in the past. Daylight saving time was first introduced in Mauritius in 1982, however, it was discontinued the following year. It was re-introduced in 2008, however, it was not used in 2009 or since. The Köppen climate classification divides Earth climates into five main climate groups, with each group being divided based on patterns of seasonal precipitation and temperature.
