Beitstadfjorden
Beitstadfjorden () is the innermost arm of the Trondheimsfjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in Steinkjer Municipality, Inderøy Municipality, and a small part extends into Indre Fosen Municipality. The fjord has a length of from southwest to northeast, and a width of about . The fjord begins at the Skarnsund strait in the south and extends northeast to the city of Steinkjer (town), Steinkjer. On the far western part of the fjord, the Verrasundet strait extends south to the village of Verrabotn in Indre Fosen Municipality, while in the north the Beitstad strait stretches northward past the villages of Malm, Beitstad, and Vellamelen. In Inderøy Municipality, the villages of Kjerknesvågen and Breivika are located along the shoreline. Follafoss is located along the north side of the fjord. Verrasundet is a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord branches off of the northern part of the vast Trondheimsfjorden in Indre Fosen Municipality, Steinkjer Municipality, and Inderøy Municipality. Trondheimsfjorden
The Trondheim Fjord or Trondheimsfjorden (), an inlet of the Norwegian Sea, is Norway's List of Norwegian fjords, third-longest fjord at long. It is located in the west-central part of the country in Trøndelag county, and it stretches from Ørland Municipality in the west to Steinkjer Municipality in the north, passing the city of Trondheim (city), Trondheim on its way. Its maximum depth is , in the channel between Orkland Municipality and Indre Fosen Municipality. Skarnsund
Skarnsundet is a strait in the Trondheimsfjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. The strait connects the Beitstadfjorden with the outer section of the Trondheimsfjorden. The long and wide Skarnsund is located in Inderøy Municipality. On the northeastern side of the strait is the village of Vangshylla and on the southwestern side is the villages of Venneshamn and Kjerringvik. The strait has a strong tidal current with a maelstrom. The Skarnsund strait was crossed by the Vangshylla–Kjerringvik Ferry ( car ferry), operated by Innherredsferja, prior to 19 December 1991. On that date the new long Skarnsund Bridge was opened. Beitstad
Beitstad () is a village in Steinkjer Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located along the Beitstadsundet strait at the end of the Beitstadfjorden at the inner end of the Trondheimsfjord, about southwest of the village of Vellamelen and about north of the town of Steinkjer. Beitstad is situated along Norwegian County Road 17 () which has twisted through the village since 1867. It is a typical farming village that stretches from the bay and into the hinterland to the east. Animal husbandry, crop production, and forestry have traditionally been the prime industries. Beitstad Church is located in this village. The village was the administrative centre of the old Beitstad Municipality which existed from 1838 until 1964 when it was merged into Steinkjer Municipality. Follafoss is a village in Steinkjer Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village lies on the northern shore of the Beitstadfjorden, about halfway between the east and west end of the fjord.
