Bedia Akartürk (born 4 February 1941) is a Turkish folk music singer. Biography Bedia Akartürk was born 4 February 1941 in Ödemiş, İzmir Province. She is the only child of her family. Since she was the only child of the family, she continued her father's surname as Akartürk and never changed her name. Bedia Akartürk started her art life in Ödemiş, where she was raised, and then she started to work at İzmir Radio when she was older, and after 9 years of experience at İzmir Radio, she moved to Ankara Radio. Emine Bedia Muvahhit (1896 – 20 January 1994) was a Turkish stage and movie actress. She is remembered as one of the first Muslim movie actresses in Turkey debuting in 1923. Personal life She was born in 1896 to Ahmet Şekip Bey, a prosecutor from profession, and his wife Emine in Kadıköy, Istanbul, Ottoman Empire. She began her primary education at Saint Antoine School on Büyükada, and went on at Kadıköy Terakki School for secondary education. Then, she studied at the French language Lycée Notre Dame de Sion Istanbul. She could speak French and Greek as foreign languages. Dilara Bedia Kızılsu, née Dilara Bedia Minare (born 25 April 1965), is a Turkish sport shooter competing in the trap event. Ramzy Habib El Haq Bedia (; born 10 March 1972) is a French actor, screenwriter, and film director of Algerian descent. Bedia ( ka, ბედია; ) is a village in the Gali Municipality/Tkvarcheli District of Abkhazia, a breakaway region of Georgia. As a result of the Georgian dispute over the sovereignty of Abkhazia, Georgia claims the village as part of its Gali Municipality. Bedia (caste)
The Bedia are a community in India. They believe that they originally lived on Mohdipahar of Hazaribagh district and have descended from the union of Vedbansi prince with a Munda girl. A legend has heard that they had their own 'Vedas' and hence it is called Bediya. Their Veda was different from the Vedas of Aryans. Present circumstances The Bedia who have settled down in West Bengal, are also known as the Bede or Bedia. They speak in Nagpuri, an Indo-Aryan language, at home and Bengali for inter-group communication. The Bengali and Devanagari scripts are used.
