History Beaver Dam High School was first proposed at a Governing Board meeting in 2001. At the time, high school students from Littlefield Unified School District attended Virgin Valley High School across the state line in Mesquite, Nevada. The school first opened its doors for the 2004–2005 school year. The Governing Board members at the time were Tammy Giebink, Cheryl Graham and Shannon Hartley. The Superintendent was Dr. Jose L. Beaver Dam is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mohave County, Arizona, United States, that is located in the Arizona Strip region and was settled in 1863. It is located along Interstate 15 approximately northeast of Mesquite, Nevada. It is located in the 86432 ZIP Code. It had a population of 1,552 as of the 2020 census, down from 1,962 at the 2010 census. Beaver Dam and the neighboring communities of Littlefield, Scenic and Desert Springs have the distinction of being the only towns in Arizona along I-15. Owing to their location in the Arizona Strip, northwest of the Grand Canyon and west of the Virgin River, they are isolated by hundreds of miles from the rest of the state. Littlefield Unified's District covers a large geographical area in Mohave County, located in the extreme northwest corner of the state. The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for high schools in the state of Nevada. In addition, five schools in the state of California (Coleville, Needles, North Tahoe, South Tahoe, and Truckee) and one from Arizona (Beaver Dam) are also members as the schools are geographically isolated from other in-state schools. It is a non-profit organization founded in 1922 as the Nevada Interscholastic League and became affiliated with the National Federation of State High School Associations in 1939.
