Beachwood, Ohio
Beachwood is a city in eastern Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census the city's population was 14,040. A suburb of Cleveland, it is a part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. History The land that eventually became Beachwood was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve. Before becoming an independent municipality, Beachwood was part of Warrensville Township. In 1915, it seceded from Warrensville after the Township voted to close a nearby area school. A petition was organized, and on June 26, 1915, Beachwood was incorporated into an independent village. In 1960, Beachwood had reached the number of residents to attain city status under the Ohio Revised Code. Beachwood was named for the numerous Beech trees that grew throughout the village. Bradley Andrew Goldberg (born February 21, 1990) is an American former professional baseball pitcher, and current assistant pitching coach for the Cleveland Guardians. Dan Friedman (1945– July 6, 1995) was an American educator, graphic and furniture designer. He was a major contributor to the postmodern and new wave typography movements. Armond D. Budish ( ; born June 2, 1953) is an American politician, lawyer, and television host who served as Cuyahoga County Executive for two terms from 2015 to 2022. Cardinal Mooney High School is a coeducational Catholic high school in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. History Establishment and early history Cardinal Mooney was founded in 1956 and is run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. In the early 1950s, the Diocese of Youngstown recognized the need to expand Ursuline High School and to build a new parochial high school on the southside. In 1953, Bishop Emmet M. Norwayne High School
Norwayne High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school in Creston, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Norwayne Local School District, which also consists of a middle school in Creston, and one elementary school in Creston (which opened in January 2010). Their mascot is the Bobcat. The name 'Norwayne' is derived from its location in northern Wayne County, Ohio, Wayne County.
