Bay View High School (Milwaukee, WI)
Bay View High School (BVHS), previously Bay View Middle/High School (BVMHS), is a high school in bay View, Milwaukee, Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is part of the Milwaukee Public Schools. Academic specialties include law, mathematics, science, and construction. History Bay View High School opened in September 1914 with 150 students and 7 teachers. The school was then a one-building barracks without central heating. With German teacher Gustav Fritsche as principal (school), principal, the barracks grew to a bungalow, and in 1922 classes were held in a new school, still in use today. The four-story brick building was a vast improvement over the wooden barracks. Later renovations included the modernization of rooms and lighting; the separation of the east and west study halls into one-story units, later converted to classrooms; a library; and a little theater/conference center. Dwight Buycks ( ; born March 6, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Kalleh Mazandaran of the Iranian Basketball Super League. He played college basketball for the Indian Hills Warriors and Marquette Golden Eagles. High school career Buycks attended Bay View High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a four-year starter on the basketball team and finished his career with 1,312 points. He was the first player in school history to reach 1,000 points. Tony Kubek
Anthony Christopher Kubek (born October 12, 1935) is an American former professional baseball player and television sportscaster, broadcaster. During his nine-year playing career with the New York Yankees, Kubek played in six World Series in the late 1950s and early 1960s, starting in 37 World Series games. For Major League Baseball on NBC, NBC television, he later broadcast twelve World Series between 1968 and 1982, and fourteen League Championship Series between 1969 and 1989. Amardeep Singh Kaleka (born 12 July 1978) is an Indian-American film director who won a regional Emmy Award for his direction of the short film '' Jacob's Turn'' in 2010 and another one for Esperanza (2014). Esther Jones (born April 7, 1969) is a former sprinter who won an Olympic gold medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay in 1992 Barcelona. Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States and ran track collegiately at Louisiana State University. She finished fourth in both the 100 m and 200 m at the 1988 World Junior Championships in Sudbury and won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m relay. Robert Lee Rayford (February 3, 1953 – May 15, 1969), sometimes identified as Robert R. due to his age, was an American teenager from Missouri who has been suggested to represent the earliest confirmed case of HIV/AIDS in North America. This is based on evidence published in 1988 in which the authors claimed that medical evidence indicated that he was "infected with a virus closely related or identical to human immunodeficiency virus type 1." Rayford died of pneumonia, but his other symptoms baffled the doctors who treated him. A study published in 1988 reported the detection of antibodies against HIV. Results of testing for HIV genetic material were reported at a scientific conference in Australia in 1999. However, the data has never been published in a peer-reviewed medical or scientific journal. The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. David C. Crowley (born May 14, 1986) is an American politician and the 7th County Executive of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He is the first African American to serve as the county's top official, and, at age 33, also the youngest. The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame is a team-specific hall of fame honoring players, coaches, executives and other contributors to the history and success of the Green Bay Packers, an American football team in the National Football League (NFL).
