Batwing (DC Comics)
Batwing is the alias used by several characters in American comic books published by DC Comics. Both versions of the character are superheroes inspired by Batman notable for their technological capabilities. The first Batwing is David Zavimbe, a Democratic Republic of the Congo, Congolese police officer created by writer Grant Morrison and debuting in ''Batman Incorporated'' ''#5'' in May, 2011 before headlining his own ''Batwing'' comic series. This version of Batwing acts as one of representatives of Africa within Batman Incorporated, being known as the "Batman of Africa". The second Batwing, Lucas "Luke" Fox, is an African Americans, African-American mixed martial artist and genius who is the son of Lucius Fox, one of Batman's closest associates. After David retires from the role, Batman offers the Batwing role to Luke, who is eager to accept despite protest from his father. Marcus To (born 20 October 1983) is a Canadian comic book artist who currently works for Marvel Comics as the artist for ''Excalibur''. The New 52
The New 52 was the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire Line (comics), line of ongoing monthly superhero American comic books, comic books. Following the conclusion of the "Flashpoint (comics), Flashpoint" Fictional crossover, crossover storyline, DC cancelled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback, but a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Yanick Paquette is a Canadian comic book artist. He has worked for Antarctic Press, Topps Comics, Topps, Marvel Comics, Marvel, and DC Comics and since 1994. Career In 1996, Paquette drew two miniseries adapted from the TV series ''Space: Above and Beyond'', written by Roy Thomas, for Topps Comics. Batwoman (season 2)
The second season of The CW series ''Batwoman'' premiered on January 17, 2021. The series is based on the DC Comics character of the same name and set in the Arrowverse continuity. Caroline Dries, who developed the series, returned as showrunner for the season. It is the first season to star Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, a vigilante who succeeds Kate Kane in the role of Batwoman. The main cast also features Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, and Dougray Scott returning from the previous season.
