Basheer Matta
Basheer Ahmad Khan Matta (; ) is a Pakistani politician and historian who is a senior member of the National Democratic Movement (NDM). He is a supporter of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), and was formerly a member of the Senate of Pakistan. Matta has formerly served as the chairman of the organizing committee and foreign affairs committee of the Awami National Party (ANP). Abu Ahmad Abdallah ibn al-Mustansir bi'llah (), better known by his laqab, regnal title Al-Mustaʿṣim bi-llāh (; 1213 – 20 February 1258), was the 37th and last caliph from the Abbasid dynasty ruling from Baghdad. He held the title from 1242 until his death in 1258. Biography Abu Ahmad Abdallah (future caliph Al-Musta'sim) was a son of the Abbasid caliph al-Mustansir I, al-Mustansir, and his mother was Hajir. He was born in 1213. After the death of his father, al-Musta'sim succeeded to the throne in late 1242. He is noted for his opposition to the rise of Shajar al-Durr to the Egyptian throne during the Seventh Crusade. He sent a message from Baghdad to the Mamluks in Egypt that said: "If you do not have men there tell us so we can send you men." Abbasid Dynasty
The Abbasid dynasty or Abbasids () were an Arab dynasty that ruled the Abbasid Caliphate between 750 and 1258. They were from the Qurayshi Hashimid clan of Banu Abbas, descended from Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib. The Abbasid Caliphate is divided into three main periods: Early Abbasid era (750–861), Middle Abbasid era (861–936) and Later Abbasid era (936–1258). A cadet branch of the dynasty also ruled as ceremonial rulers for the Mamluk Sultanate (1261–1517) until their conquest by the Ottoman Empire. Bab Bachir
Bab Bachir () (died 1254) was a slave consort of the last Abbasid dynasty, Abbasid caliph, al-Musta'sim (r. 1242–1258) and mother of Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn al-Musta'sim. She was a slave bought to the Abbasid harem, Harem by the Caliph and became his concubinage in Islam, concubine. When she gave birth to a son, prince Abu Nasr Muhammad, she became an umm walad and was manumitted by the Caliph, who married her. After her marriage, she made herself known for her public charitable initiatives, which was a common method for the consorts of the Caliph (who could not leave the harem), to make themselves known. She is known as the founder of the Al Bashiriya School, East of the Sheikh Maarouf Cemetery in Baghdad. The work on the school begun in 1251/1252, and a great public inauguration ceremony was held 1255/1256. References

Bachir Yellès
Bachir Yellès (; 12 September 1921 – 16 August 2022) was an Algerian painter. Life and career Yellès was born in Tlemcen on 12 September 1921.Bloom and Blair, p50 "Bachir Yelles (b. 1921) and Muhammad Bouzid (b. 1929) explored Cubism, Fauvism and Expressionism while maintaining local themes." He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers, then the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris. He served as a director of the ''École supérieur des Beaux Arts d'Alger'' of Algiers, between the years 1960 and 1980. In his works, he continued using local themes but also experimented with Cubism, Expressionism, and Fauvism. Yellès turned 100 in September 2021. He died in Algiers on 16 August 2022. Bashir Qamari (; 10 January 1951 – 24 June 2021) was a Moroccan literary critic, novelist and playwright. Biography Qamari was born in Nador in 1951. He studied Arabic literature at the Mohammed V University in Rabat (1975 MA, 1987 PhD). He was professor at the faculty of literature in Kenitra Kenitra (, , , ) is a city in northwestern Morocco. It is a port on the Sebou River with a population of 507,736 as of 2024.
