Barbara Bosson
Barbara Bosson (November 1, 1939 – February 18, 2023) was an American actress and writer. She is best known for her roles in the television series ''Hill Street Blues'' (1981–1986) and '' Murder One'' (1995–1997), for both of which she received six Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Early life Bosson was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, to a tennis coach father, and raised in the nearby coal-mining town of Belle Vernon. She and her family moved to Florida, and she graduated from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport in 1957. She later moved to New York and worked as a secretary for the American Conservatory Theater and as a Playboy Bunny while taking acting classes with Herbert Berghof and Milton Katselas. When she was 26 years old, Bosson was enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University. Career Bosson made her screen debut with a minor part in the 1968 crime thriller film ''Bullitt''. Charleroi, Pennsylvania
Charleroi ( ) is a borough in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Monongahela River, 21 miles south of Pittsburgh. Charleroi was settled in 1890 and incorporated in 1891. The 2020 census recorded a population of 4,210. Reduced industrial activities in the region led to a decreasing population. The steel-making industry was supported by cheap transportation on the Monongahela River from upstream of Charleroi into northern West Virginia and north as well as downstream past McKeesport to the mouth of the Monongahela in Pittsburgh. The Committee was a San Francisco-based improvisational comedy group founded by Alan Myerson and Jessica Myerson (born as Irene Ryan and performing as Irene Riordan, later known as Latifah Taormina). The Myersons were both alums of The Second City in Chicago. Founding ''The Committee'', named in reference to the House Un-American Activities Committee, opened on April 10, 1963, at 622 Broadway in a 300-seat Cabaret theater that used to be an indoor bocce ball court in San Francisco's North Beach.
