Bangi (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: باڠي), alternately Bangi Lama, is a small town situated south of Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Geography It is roughly situated between the towns of Kajang () and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (). The town is surrounded by palm oil estates, most of which were converted to townships over the last 20 years. The town is surrounded by small Malay villages, within , namely, Kampung Bangi, Kampung Bahagia, Kampung Batu Lima, Kampung Rinching. Bangi is not to be confused with Bandar Baru Bangi, a larger township opened more recently. Bandar Baru Bangi is situated about 7 kilometers north of Bangi proper and is nearer to Kajang town. Hulu Langat District, Selangor
Hulu Langat District is a district of Malaysia located in the southeastern corner of Selangor, between Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan. It is bordered by the state of Pahang to the east and north, Gombak district to the north-west, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Petaling district to the west, Sepang district to the south-west, and state of Negeri Sembilan to the south. Kajang is a city in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, located southeast of Kuala Lumpur. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council. Nilai is a city located in the Seremban District of the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, located close to the border with Selangor. It is the northern suburb within the Seremban metropolitan area, as well as part of the Greater Kuala Lumpur, Greater Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area. Bandar Baru Bangi (literal translation: ''Bangi New Town'') is a township and satellite town of Kajang situated in Hulu Langat District, in southeastern Selangor, Malaysia. It is named after the small town of Bangi situated further south. It is located between Kajang and Putrajaya (formerly Prang Besar) and is about 25 km away from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (), abbreviated MPOB, is a government agency responsible for the promotion and development of the palm oil industry in Malaysia. KTM Komuter
KTM Komuter is a commuter rail system in Malaysia operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). It was introduced in 1995 to provide local rail services in Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding Klang Valley suburban areas.
