Balzan F
Balzan () is a municipality in the Northern Region of Malta, and together with Attard and Lija, forms part of the "Three Villages" (). The village originally consisted of a group of small dwellings and farms but eventually grew, becoming a parish in the 17th century. As of 2022, the town registered a population of 4,821 inhabitants. Etymology In Malta, many village names are identical to certain family names, as in Attard and Lija. It is believed by some, therefore, that the village inherited its name from a family whose family name was ''Balzan''. Balsan (Balzan) literally means ''tax collector'' or ''contributions collector''. The tax collector must have been from the same parish, at the time forming part of Birkirkara. Annunciation

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is one of the European Structural and Investment Funds allocated by the European Union. San Anton Palace () is a palace in Attard, Malta, that currently serves as the official residence of the president of Malta. It was originally built in the early 17th century as a country villa for Antoine de Paule, a knight of the Knights Hospitaller, Order of St. John. It was expanded into a palace following de Paule's election as List of Princes and Grand Masters of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Grand Master in 1623. Malta Railway
The Malta Railway () was the only railway line ever on the island of Malta, and it consisted of a single railway line from Valletta to Mdina. It was a Single track (rail), single-track line in Metre gauge railway, metre gauge, operating from 1883 to 1931. The railway was known locally in Maltese language, Maltese as ''il-vapur tal-art'' (the land ship). History The first proposal to build a railway in Malta was made in 1870 by J. S. Tucker. The main reason was to connect the capital Valletta with the former capital Mdina so the journey time between the two cities would be reduced from 3 hours to less than half an hour. Emvin Cremona
Emanuel Vincent "Emvin" Cremona (27 May 1919 – 29 January 1987) was a Maltese artist and stamp designer. He was as one of Malta's leading artists of the 20th century, and a pioneer of modernism in Malta. Cremona is known for designing most Maltese stamps from 1957 to the 1980s, including the stamp issue commemorating Malta's independence from Great Britain in 1964. He studied at the Malta School of Arts and the Regia Accademia delle Belle Arti in Rome. Some of his works can be found at the parish churches of Msida and Ħamrun, Ta' Pinu Sanctuary, Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Paola and the Chapel of the Malta International Airport.
