Balog (genus)
Balog or Balogh was a medieval family or clan (Latin '' generatio'') of Hungarian nobles which is believed to have been founded by the German knight Altmann von Friedberg, somewhat around 1046, when he settled in the Kingdom of Hungary. The family branches spread over time all throughout the Kingdom of Hungary and within the Austrian Empire and Austro-Hungarian Monarchy during the centuries. László Balogh (painter)
László Balogh (12 January 1930 – 11 June 2023) was a Hungarian painter from Szentendre Szentendre, also known as Saint Andrew is a riverside town in Pest County, Hungary, between the capital city Budapest and Pilis Mountains, Pilis-Visegrád Mountains. The town is known for its museums (most notably the :hu: Szentendrei Szabadtéri .... Since 1956, his works have been shown both in Hungary and abroad, and his paintings can be found in private and public collections in Hungary, Germany, the United States, Switzerland, France, Austria, Sweden, Finland and Spain. Zoltán "Zoli" Tibor Balogh (December 7, 1953 – June 19, 2002) was a Hungarian-born mathematician, specializing in set-theoretic topology. His father, Tibor Balogh, was also a mathematician. His best-known work concerned solutions to problems involving normality of products, most notably the first ZFC construction of a small ( cardinality continuum) Dowker space. Thomas Balogh, Baron Balogh
Thomas Balogh, Baron Balogh (2 November 190520 January 1985), born Balog Tamás, was a British economist and member of the House of Lords. The elder son of a wealthy Budapest Jewish family (his father was head of public transport, his mother the daughter of a professor), Balogh studied at the Minta Gymnasium, considered 'the Eton of Hungarian youth', then at the universities of Budapest and Berlin. He took a two-year research position at Harvard University as a Rockefeller Fellow in 1928. Suzanne Elspeth (Suzy) Balogh Order of Australia, OAM (born 8 May 1973 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales) is a sport shooting, sport shooter from Australia. Balogh competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in Olympic Trap, Trap. She also competed in the Shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics - Women's Double Trap, Double Trap event.Suzanne Balogh

Norbert Sándor Balogh (born 21 February 1996) is a Hungarian footballer who last played as a forward for Slovak club DAC Dunajská Streda and the Hungarian national team. Club career Balogh grew up in very poor circumstances in Hajdúböszörmény, Hajdú County, Hungary. His parents did not earn enough money, therefore he often starved. Balogh's parents could not afford to buy new shoes for him, therefore he was often mocked at school. In an interview with Nemzeti Sport, Balogh said that he did not mind that he was brought up in poor circumstances because as an adult he can appreciate the success more. But he never forgets where he comes from. He is still in touch with his old friends from his birthplace. Mary Balogh (born Mary Jenkins on 24 March 1944) is a Welsh-Canadian novelist writing historical romance, born and raised in Swansea. In 1967, she moved to Canada to start a teaching career, married a local coroner and settled in Kipling, Saskatchewan, where she eventually became a school principal. Her debut novel appeared in 1985. Her historical fiction is set in the Regency era (1811–1820) or the wider Georgian era (1714–1830).
