Baldovino Dassù
Baldovino Dassù (born 3 November 1952) is an Italian golfer. Professional career Dassù won the 1970 British Youths Open Amateur Championship and played for Italy in that year's Eisenhower Trophy. He turned professional in 1971 and was a regular on the European Tour from its first official season in 1972 until the mid-1980s. His most successful season by far was 1976, when he won his only two European Tour titles at the Dunlop Masters and the Italian Open, which he won by eight shots, and went on to finish ninth on the Order of Merit. Off the tour he won the Italian Professional Championship in 1974, 1976 and 1977. He represented Italy in the Alfred Dunhill Cup twice and in the World Cup of Golf four times. As a senior, Dassù played the European Seniors Tour for one season, finishing 26th on the 2003 Order of Merit. Manuel Piñero
Manuel Piñero Sánchez (born 1 September 1952) is a Spanish professional golfer. Early life Piñero was born in Badajoz. Professional career In 1968, Piñero turned professional and established himself on the European Tour in the early 1970s. He won nine titles on tour, the most prestigious of them the 1977 British PGA Championship. He featured in the top ten on the European Tour Order of Merit five times, including back to back fourth places in 1976 and 1977. Piñero was with Bing Crosby when Crosby died. On 14 October 1977, Piñero teamed up with Crosby in a recreational match against fellow Spanish pro Valentín Barrios and his amateur partner Cesar de Zulueta, owner of Moraleja Golf Course, where the match was played. The St Andrews Trophy is a biennial men's team golf tournament contested between teams of amateur golfers representing Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe.
