Balatonfüred District
Balatonfüred () is a district in southern part of Veszprém County. ''Balatonfüred'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Central Transdanubia, Central Transdanubia Statistical Region. Geography Balatonfüred District borders with Veszprém District to the north, Balatonalmádi District to the east, Siófok District and Fonyód District ''(Somogy County)'' to the south, Tapolca District to the west. Districts of Hungary are the second-level divisions of Hungary after counties. They replaced the 175 subregions of Hungary in 2013. There are 174 districts in the 19 counties, and there are 23 districts in Budapest. Paloznak is a village in the region of Balatonfüred, Veszprém county, Hungary. It was first mentioned in the Veszprém Valley Monastery's Deed of Gift around 970 a. D. According to archaeological findings the place was inhabited since 5000 years. According to the 2001 census, population is about 401 people (2008 estimation is 440). The village is famous about preserving the traditional settlement structure of the Balaton-highlands. Locals make a living from wine and tourism.
