Bahattin Sofuoğlu (1 January 1978 - 25 October 2002) born in Adapazarı, Turkey Turkey, officially the Republic of Türkiye, is a country mainly located in Anatolia in West Asia, with a relatively small part called East Thrace in Southeast Europe. Sinan Sofuoğlu died on May 9, 2008, at the age of 25 in the intensive care unit of Kocaeli University Hospital following a motorcycle crash. He was training for the Turkey Motorcycle Championship at İzmit Körfez Circuit in Körfez, Kocaeli, where he fell-off his motorcycle and suffered a broken neck, trauma at the base of his skull, and pulmonary hemorrhage. Sinan Sofuoğlu (15 July 1982 – 9 May 2008) was a Turkish motorcycle racer. Biography Part of the motorcycle racing Sofuoğlu family, he started racing at 15, and became drag champion in 1998. He continued his victories with championships won in Group B in 1999, and in Group A in the years 2001, 2002 and 2004. He finished the 2003 season in second. Kenan Sofuoğlu (born 25 August 1984 in Kuzuluk, Akyazı) is a Turkish parliamentarian and former professional motorcycle racer. He holds a record five Supersport World Championship titles (2007, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016). Sofuoğlu also competed at the Superbike World Championship in 2008 and at the Moto2 World Championship in 2010 and 2011. Bahattin Sofuoğlu (born 19 August 2003) is a Turkish professional motorcycle racer, being the third generation member of the Sofuoğlu family in this sport. He competes in the Supersport World Championship for Yamaha Thailand Racing Team. Personal life Bahattin Sofuoğlu was born on 19 August 2003, and was named after his paternal cousin Bahattin Sofuoğlu (1978–2002), who died following a crash during a motorcycle race training.
