Baden Powelllaan 12 is an old house (Heerenhuis) in Het Park, Rotterdam, built circa 1760. Found near the Euromast it was the main building of the De Heuvel estate. From 1875 this villa forms part of the Park. Euromast
Euromast is an observation tower in Rotterdam, Netherlands, designed by Hugh Maaskant constructed between 1958 and 1960. It was specially built for the 1960 Floriade, and is a listed monument since 2010. The tower is a concrete structure with an internal diameter of and a wall thickness of . For stability it is built on a concrete block of so that the centre of gravity is below ground. It has a "crow's nest" observation platform above ground and a restaurant. Originally in height it was the tallest building in Rotterdam. It lost this position to the high-rise of Erasmus MC () which was completed in 1968, but regained it when the Space Tower was added to the top of the building in 1970, giving an additional . Baden (; ) is a historical territory in southern Germany. In earlier times it was considered to be on both sides of the Upper Rhine, but since the Napoleonic Wars, it has been considered only East of the Rhine. History The margraves of Baden originated from the House of Zähringen. Baden is named after the margraves' residence, Hohenbaden Castle in Baden-Baden. Hermann II of Baden first claimed the title of Margrave of Baden in 1112. A united Margraviate of Baden existed from this time until 1535, when it was split into the two Margraviates of Baden-Durlach and Baden-Baden.
