''Bad Animals'' is the ninth studio album by American Rock music, rock band Heart (band), Heart, released on May 15, 1987, by Capitol Records. The album continues the mainstream hard rock style from the band's Heart (Heart album), 1985 self-titled release, all while enjoying similar success. It peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 in August 1987 and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 4, 1992. Internationally, ''Bad Animals'' charted within the top five in Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, and the top 10 in the United Kingdom. The album spawned the US number-one single "Alone (Heart song), Alone", while "Who Will You Run To" reached number seven, "There's the Girl" reached number 12, and "I Want You So Bad" reached number 49. Heart (band)
Heart is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1973. The band evolved from previous projects led by founding members Roger Fisher (guitarist), Roger Fisher (guitar) and Steve Fossen (bass guitar), including The Army (1967–1969), Hocus Pocus (1969–1970), and White Heart (1970–1973). By 1975, original members Fisher, Fossen, and Ann Wilson (lead vocals and flute), along with Nancy Wilson (rock musician), Nancy Wilson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Michael Derosier (drums), and Howard Leese (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) formed the lineup for the band's initial mid- to late-1970s success period. Lisa Concetta Dal Bello (born 22 May 1959), also known as Dalbello, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She released three albums in the pop and pop/rock genre in her late teens, from 1977 through 1981 under her full name. In 1984, she re-emerged as Dalbello, with an edgier brand of alternative rock. Early life Born to Italian and British parents, Dalbello grew up in Weston, Toronto, Ontario, and then with her family moved to Vaughan, Ontario. At age 11, she began playing guitar and writing her own songs, performing at the Mariposa Folk Festival and the Fiddlers' Green club in Toronto. ''Taking a Cold Look'' is the only studio album by i-Ten, a short-lived project formed of the songwriting duo Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, released in 1983. The album is typical of album-oriented rock and the duo worked with a number of famous rock musicians: Steve Lukather, David Paich and Steve Porcaro from Toto, Richard Page (who later formed Mr. Mister) and Mike Baird from Journey. The album was reissued on CD in June 2000 by Rewind Records and then in February 2009 by Rock Candy. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Its members consist of record labels and distributors that the RIAA says "create, manufacture, and/or distribute approximately 85% of all legally sold recorded music in the United States".
