Bob Babich (born February 20, 1961) is an American football coach and former player, who was formerly the linebackers coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). Babich was the head football coach at North Dakota State University from 1997 to 2002, compiling a career record of 46–22. He played college football as a linebacker at the University of Tulsa in the early 1980s. Early life and playing career Babich was born and raised in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and he is of Serbian descent. He attended Aliquippa High School, lettering in football and baseball. Robert Babich (May 5, 1947 – April 4, 2022) was an American professional football player who was a linebacker for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Diego Chargers and the Cleveland Browns. He played college football at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994. Joseph Frank Babich (10 October 1940 – 13 January 2022) was a New Zealand winemaker. He was among those involved in the transformation of the New Zealand wine industry from the 1970s. Biography Born on 10 October 1940, Babich was the son of Josip Babich, who founded Babich Wines, and Mara Babich (née Grgich). He was educated at Henderson High School, and after leaving school, he began working for the family company in 1958. At that time, they produced mainly fortified wines and generic red and white wines. Babich founded the Young Winemakers' Group, and was in the vanguard of those who worked to modernise production and raise standards in the New Zealand wine industry in the 1970s. Shaikhzada Muhametzakirovich Babich (; ; 14 January 1895 – 28 March 1919) was a Bashkir poet, writer and playwright. He is considered a classic author of Bashkir national literature. He was a member of the Bashkir national liberation movement, and a member of the Bashkir government (1917–1919).
