BYU–Hawaii Seasiders
The BYU–Hawaii Seasiders (also Brigham Young–Hawaii Seasiders and BYUH Seasiders) were the 11 varsity athletic teams that represented Brigham Young University–Hawaii, located in Laie, Hawaii, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Seasiders competed as members of the Pacific West Conference before dropping their athletic program after the 2016–17 season. History The school won eleven NCAA national championships: two in women's volleyball and nine tennis championships (two men's and seven women's). In its early days, BYU–H also won a National Rugby Championship in 1967, as declared by the Los Angeles Rugby Union. Basketball and volleyball games were held in the George Q. Brigham Young University–Hawaii (BYU–Hawaii) is a private college in Laie, Hawaii, United States. It is owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). BYU–Hawaii was founded in 1955 and it became a satellite campus of Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1974. In 2004, it was made a separate institution. The college's sole focus is on undergraduate education. The IU Indy Jaguars are the 18 intercollegiate teams that represent Indiana University Indianapolis, in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship
The NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship is the annual tournament to determine the national champions of NAIA women's collegiate indoor volleyball in the United States and Canada. It has been held annually since 1980. The most successful program has been BYU–Hawaii, with ten NAIA national titles. The Barry Buccaneers are the athletic teams that represent Barry University, located in Miami Shores, Florida, United States, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Lynn Fighting Knights are the athletic teams that represent Lynn University, located in Boca Raton, Florida, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
