BWF World Ranking
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the BWF World Championships, World Championships and Badminton at the Summer Olympics, Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seedings of draws at all BWF-sanctioned tournaments are conducted using the BWF World Ranking. Players under 19 years of age are eligible to rank in the BWF World Junior Ranking, which were introduced in January 2011. Badminton World Federation
The Badminton World Federation, aka BWF, is the international governing body for the sport of badminton approved by the International Olympic Committee. It was founded on 5 July 1934 as the International Badminton Federation with nine member nations: Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales. In 1981, the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation. When the BWF was founded, its head office was located in Cheltenham, UK. It was then relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 1, 2005. Chou Tien-chen
Chou Tien-chen (; born 8 January 1990) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. He is the record holder of three consecutive Hylo Open titles from 2012 till 2014. Toma Junior Popov
Toma Junior Popov (born 29 September 1998) is a French badminton player. Partnered with his brother Christo Popov, he won the men's doubles gold at the 2025 European Championships. He competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and claimed the men's singles bronze medal. In the juniors, Popov won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. Popov made history as the first non-Danish male player to win a European Junior team gold as well as the men's singles and doubles in 2017. Christo Popov
Christo Popov (born 8 March 2002) is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He won the men's doubles gold at the 2025 European Championships with his brother Toma Junior Popov. He also won a silver in the men's singles and a bronze in the men's doubles at the 2023 European Games. He became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open. Christo Popov was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. Lee Cheuk Yiu
Lee Cheuk Yiu (; born 28 August 1996) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He won the silver medal at the 2013 Asian Youth Games and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Junior Championships. Career Lee reached the final of the 2019 Hong Kong Open, after quarter- and semi-final wins against former world champion Viktor Axelsen and former world number one Srikanth Kidambi respectively. Lee Chia-hao
Lee Chia-hao (; born 4 June 1999) is a Taiwanese badminton player affiliated with AP team. Career Lee was born in a badminton family. His father Lee Mou-chou is a former national champion who now works as Land Bank team head coach, and his sister Lee Chia-hsin is a member of national team. He has won several junior titles in his career, namely 2016 Australian Junior International in both singles and doubles events, Singapore Youth International, 2017 German Junior Grand Prix, and defended his boys' singles Australian title. Koki Watanabe
is a Japanese badminton player. He graduated from the Saitama Sakae High School, and was part of the BIPROGY team since 2017. Watanabe has won a Super 500 title at the Canada Open and was the runner-up in the Super 750 at the Denmark Open. Career Watanabe started his badminton career when he was four years old, entered the badminton club under the influence of his sister. He later concentrate his badminton career in the kindergarten, and when he was in the elementary school, he won the Saitama school championships in third consecutive years. Lin Chun-yi (; born 2 October 1999) is a badminton player from Taiwan, representing Chinese Taipei. Weng Hongyang
Weng Hongyang ( zh, s=翁泓阳, p=Wēng Hóngyáng; born 18 June 1999) is a Chinese badminton player. He won his first BWF World Tour title at the 2019 Lingshui China Masters. He was part of China winning team in the 2024 Thomas Cup. Career Early career Weng entered the Fuzhou Sports School in 2006, and later the Fujian Sports School in 2009. Kenta Nishimoto
is a Japanese badminton player. He won a silver medal in the men's singles at the 2017 Summer Universiade and a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games. Nishimoto was part of Japan winning team at the 2012 Asian Junior Championships and at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships. Lu Guangzu
Lu Guangzu (; born on 19 October 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. He was a silver medalist in the 2025 Asian Championships. Lu was integrated to China winning team in the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup, as well at the 2024 Thomas Cup. In 2018, Lu made into his first final at the Lingshui China Masters. Loh Kean Yew
Loh Kean Yew LKY (born 26 June 1997) is a Singaporean badminton player. He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships – Men's singles, 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat. Loh's success as a child in Penang state team saw him receive a scholarship from the Singapore Sports School.
