BSI had been the oldest bank in the Switzerland, Swiss canton of Ticino until its integration into EFG International, EFG Bank and the following renaming into EFG, which took place in 2017. Founded in 1873 in Lugano as the Banca della Svizzera Italiana, BSI was an institution that specialises in asset management and related services for private and institutional clients. In 1998, the bank became part of the Italy, Italian Assicurazioni Generali, Generali group, one of the world's biggest insurance companies. The Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI; ) is a border checkpoint, customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) complex in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. Located at the northern end of the Johor–Singapore Causeway, it is one of two land ports of entry to Malaysia on the Malaysia–Singapore border. The building was named after the late Iskandar of Johor, Sultan Iskandar of Johor. Built as part of the Southern Integrated Gateway project on the former site of the Lumba Kuda flats, Kampung Bukit Chagar, the building occupies an area of , making it the largest CIQ complex in Malaysia. Bloodstream infections (BSIs) are infections of blood caused by blood-borne pathogens. The detection of microbes in the blood (most commonly accomplished by blood cultures) is always abnormal. A bloodstream infection is different from sepsis, which is characterized by severe inflammatory or immune responses of the host organism to pathogens.
