BC Lokomotiv–Kuban Krasnodar
PBC Lokomotiv Kuban () is a Russian professional basketball team based in Krasnodar. It participates in the VTB United League. Their honour list includes a EuroCup championship in the 2012–13 season, and two Russian Cup victories in 1999-00 and 2017–18. History The history of the Lokomotiv starts back in 1946 in Mineralnye Vody. Lokomotiv played in the first league championship for a number of years, until in 1994 it finally got into the elite of the national basketball. In 1999, Lokomotiv got the right to represent Russia in the European tournaments, such as the FIBA Korać Cup and won the Cup of the International Railways Sports Union. Lokomotiv won 3rd place in the Russian League in 2001, and playing in the Korać Cup finals in 2002. The season 2002–03 became the final for the team from Mineralnye Vody. VTB United League
The VTB United League () is an international professional men's club basketball league that was founded in 2009. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since 2013, it is the first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league can also be named the Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. In 2009 CSKA Moscow won VTB United League Promo-Cup, but this competition does not count as official VTB title. CSKA has dominated the league, having won majority of titles its existence. The VTB United League also holds a youth competition, the VTB United Youth League. It was organized and run by FIBA Europe. Božidar "Boža" Maljković ( sr-Cyrl, Божидар "Божа" Маљковић; born 20 April 1952) is a Serbian former professional basketball coach and current president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia. He is one of the most successful basketball coaches in Europe, having won league titles with practically all the clubs he trained; including four EuroLeague titles with three clubs ( Jugoplastika, Limoges, and Panathinaikos). Košarkarski klub Krka (English: Basketball Club Krka), commonly referred to as KK Krka or simply Krka, is a Slovenian professional basketball team based in Novo Mesto that competes in the Slovenian First League and the ABA League. Lionel Chalmers Jr. (born November 10, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player who currently works as an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is in height and played at the point guard position. Amateur career Chalmers played his first three years of high school basketball at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in Schenectady, New York. He then transferred to Albany High School for his senior year. Chalmers attended Xavier University, where he played college basketball for four years as an undergraduate and later as a graduate student. As a senior, he led Xavier to the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. He was inducted into the Xavier University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015. Michael Joseph Wilkinson (born October 1, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. Standing at , he played at the power forward position. Amateur career Wilkinson attended Wisconsin Heights High School, where he played basketball for the Vanguards. In his senior year, Wilkinson earned the Mr. Basketball award, which is the player of the year award in Wisconsin high school basketball. Wilkinson played college basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2001 to 2005, redshirting his freshman year, for a total of five years with the basketball program. BC UNICS () is a professional basketball club in Kazan, Russia, that plays in the VTB United League, and formerly played in the EuroLeague. MBC Dynamo Moscow () was a Russian basketball team from Moscow. It was active for 93 years (from 1923 until 2016) as professional club, before being dissolved due to financial problems. The Russia men's national basketball team () represents Russia in international basketball competition. They are organized and run by the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF). The team came into existence after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and its national team. In the post-Soviet era, the Russia national team consisting of Soviet players under the guidance of Sergei Belov won the silver medal at EuroBasket 1993. It also won silver at the World Cup in consecutive appearances in 1994 and 1998. However, Belov's departure saw Russia face multiple disappointments, until David Blatt took over as head coach.
