BCL Americas
The Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) (Spanish language, Spanish: ''Liga de Campeones de Baloncesto de las Américas'', Portuguese language, Portuguese: ''Liga dos Campeões de Basquetebol das Américas'') is Americas, Pan-America's premier men's basketball club competition. Founded in 2019, it replaced the FIBA Americas League as the highest level league in the Americas. The winner of each year's competition qualifies to the annual FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Each season exists of 12 teams that qualify through their domestic leagues and the league is typically organized between December and April of the following calendar year. Edmonton Stingers
The Edmonton Stingers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They compete in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and play their home games at the HIVE arena at the Edmonton Expo Centre. The Stingers' mascot is Buzz, a hornet, inspired by the CF-18 based in Cold Lake. The team logo has a CF-18 going through a capital E to make the body of the hornet. Minas Tênis Clube, commonly known simply as Minas or the Minas Storm, is a Brazilian basketball club based in Belo Horizonte. It is part of the Minas Tênis Clube multi-sports club. Real Estelí Baloncesto is a Nicaraguan basketball team based in Managua. Founded in 2018, it is the basketball section of the Real Estelí FC football club, which was founded in 1959. The team entered the Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB) for its debut season in 2018 season. 2021 BCL Americas Final
The 2021 BCL Americas Final was the final game of the 2021 BCL Americas, the 2nd season of the league under its new entity and the 14th of the pan-American premier basketball league organised by FIBA. It was played at the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex in Managua on 14 April 2021. The game was played between Nicaraguan club Real Estelí and Brazilian club Flamengo. Flamengo won the final and captured its second pan-American championship, thus also qualifying for the 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The 2021 Basketball Champions League Americas season was the 14th edition of the top-tier level professional club basketball competition in the Americas and the second of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) since launched by FIBA in 2019. It was also the 22nd season of Pan-American top-level competition, as well as the 59th season of South American top-level competition. The season began on 31 January 2021 and ended on 13 April 2021. The season ended with a Final Eight tournament that was hosted in Managua, Nicaragua. The defending champions Quimsa were eliminated in the quarter-finals. Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba basketball section is part of the Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba, homonymous sports club based in Córdoba, Argentina. Antel Arena
The Antel Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena that is located in the neighborhood of Villa Española, Montevideo, Uruguay. The arena has a capacity of 15,000 people for concerts, and 10,000 people for basketball games. The arena was built by the state telecommunications company ANTEL after they reached an agreement with the city of Montevideo, which granted them the rights to the arena for 30 years. The venue is operated by American company ASM Global. History The arena was built at the location of the old Cilindro Municipal, after it was left in a dilapidated state after a fire. Before the Antel Arena could be constructed, the old Cilindro Municipal had to be demolished. Construction on Antel Arena began in May 2014, and the arena opened on November 12, 2018.
