B-Complex
Matia Lenická (born 9 May 1984), also known by the stage name B-Complex, is a drum and bass producer and DJ from Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2015, she came out as bi-gender. Career B-Complex began producing music in 1996 at the age of 12, being mainly interested in hardcore, trance, and psytrance, moving on to downtempo and hip hop. Following this period, she shifted to drum and bass, with the intention of creating a unique personal style. The artist's first major label release was "Beautiful Lies", which appeared on the compilation ''Sick Music'' from Hospital Records. The compilation went on to reach the top 30 on the iTunes UK Download Chart, and was in the top 5 on the Beatport Drum and Bass Chart. Her first UK show was in September 2009 at Matter nightclub in London, for a Hospitality night. She started to use a female version of her name in 2015. Šaľa
Šaľa (, ; , ) is a town in Šaľa District within Nitra Region in south-western Slovakia. Geography Šaľa is located on the Danubian Lowland on both banks of the Váh River, around 65 km from Bratislava and 30 km from Nové Zámky. Besides the town itself, it also includes the settlements of Hetméň and Veča on the left and right banks of the river respectively. Jordana LeSesne, formerly known as 1.8.7, is an American musician, producer and DJ from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She now produces and performs as Jordana. She became known in the mid-1990s as a drum and bass producer. Vibe magazine called her "one of the most respected Drum ‘n' Bass producers in the US." In 2015, she was named as one of "20 women who shaped the history of dance music" by Mixmag. She is transgender and came out in 1998. She has released over 50 tracks, including four albums, several EPs, and remixes under the alias 1.8.7. The 1997 album ''When Worlds Collide'' became known for its "dark pummeling assaults". She has licensed tracks for compilations as well as the Sci Fi Channel. The Very Best (band)
The Very Best is a collaboration between London-based DJ and production duo Radioclit and Esau Mwamwaya, a singer from Lilongwe, Malawi. Their music has been described as an Afro-Western mix of dance, hip hop, pop, and the traditional music of Malawi. History Esau Mwamwaya was born in Mzuzu, Malawi, but grew up in the capital, Lilongwe, where he played drums in various bands. He played with numerous artists, including Masaka Band and Evison Matafale. In 1999 he moved to London and while running a second-hand furniture shop in Clapton, East London, Esau sold a bicycle to the producer from the band Radioclit, Etienne Tron. Tony Colman (born 28 April 1961), better known by his stage name London Elektricity, is an English electronic musician and co-founded Hospital Records. History The first incarnation of London Elektricity was the duo Tony Colman and Chris Goss. Founders and backbone of Hospital Records, they also pursued parallel projects under the monikers Peter Nice Trio and Dwarf Electro, but it was their tune "Song in the Key of Knife" under the guise London Elektricity that first gained them widespread recognition.
