Ayşe Sine
Ayşe Sineperver Sultan ( ota, عایشه سینه پرور سلطان; "''the living one''" or "''womanly''" and "''Protectress of the Grace''"; c. 1760 – 11 December 1828) was a consort of Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid I as Ayşe Sineperver Kadın, and Valide Sultan to their son Sultan Mustafa IV of the Ottoman Empire. As imperial consort Of Bulgarian origins, she was born around 1760 and her true name was Sonya. Sineperver entered in the Abdul Hamid's harem in 1774, and was given the title of "Fourth Consort". In 1775, she was elevated to "Third Consort". On 8 December 1776, she gave birth to her first child, a son, Şehzade Ahmed, who died at the age of about two on 18 November 1778. In 1778, she was elevated to "Second Consort". On 17 July 1778, she gave birth to her second child, a daughter, Esma Sultan. Alemdar Mustafa Pasha (also called Bayraktar Mustafa Pasha; born 1755, died 15 November 1808) was an Ottoman military commander and a Grand Vizier born in Hotin (modern Khotyn) in the then Ottoman territory of Ukraine in 1765. This is a list of Consorts of the Ottoman sultans, the wives and concubines of the monarchs of the Ottoman Empire who ruled over the transcontinental empire from its inception in 1299 to its dissolution in 1922. Honorific and titles Hatun Hatun ( ota, خاتون) was used as an honorific for women in the Ottoman period, roughly equivalent to the English term ''Lady''. The term was being used for the Ottoman sultan's consorts. When the son of one of the consorts ascended the throne she became ''Valide Hatun'' (Mother of Sultan). The Imperial Harem ( ota, حرم همايون, ) of the Ottoman Empire was the Ottoman sultan's harem – composed of the wives, servants (both female slaves and eunuchs), female relatives and the sultan's concubines – occupying a secluded portion (seraglio) of the Ottoman imperial household. This institution played an important social function within the Ottoman court, and wielded considerable political authority in Ottoman affairs, especially during the long period known as the Sultanate of Women (approximately 1533 to 1656). Multiple historians claim that the sultan was frequently lobbied by harem members of different ethnic or religious backgrounds to influence the geography of the Ottoman wars of conquest. ''The Favorite'' (also titled ''Intimate Power'') is a 1989 Swiss-American historical drama film based on the unsubstantiated story of Aimée du Buc de Rivéry that takes place at the dawn of the 19th century.
