''Audacious'' is the debut studio album by American hip-hop artist CupcakKe, released on October 14, 2016. It was preceded by the release of two mixtapes, '' S.T.D (Shelters to Deltas)'' and ''Cum Cake''. CupcakKe released it independently. The album was preceded by its leading single "Picking Cotton". Elizabeth Eden Harris (born May 31, 1997), known professionally as Cupcakke (often stylized as CupcakKe; pronounced ), is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her hypersexualised, brazen, and often comical persona and music although she has also made songs with themes supporting LGBT rights, female empowerment, and autism awareness. Cupcakke began her career as a rapper in 2012 by releasing material online. She came to attention in 2015 when two of her songs, "Deepthroat" and "Vagina", went viral on video-sharing platforms. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) () is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization (PRO) that collectively licenses the public performance rights of its members' musical works to venues, broadcasters, and digital streaming services (music stores). Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence.
