Arriva Poland Sp. z o. o. is a Polish private rail carrier providing services in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Masovian Voivodeship, Masovian, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Warmian-Masurian voivodships. It is a subsidiary of Arriva. History The company was founded in 2006 as Arriva PCC, as a 50/50 joint venture between Arriva and DB Cargo Polska, PCC Rail. In December 2007, Arriva PCC commenced a contract to operate all non-electrified passenger lines in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. In June 2009, PCC Rail's share was included in its sale to Deutsche Bahn. In June 2010 Arriva bought Deutsche Bahn's shareholding and renamed the business Arriva RP. In December 2010 Arriva RP won a 10-year extension to its Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship contract. Lipno, Lipno County
Lipno (Polish pronunciation: ; german: Leipe) is a town in Poland, in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, about southeast of Toruń. It is the administrative seat of Lipno County and of Gmina Lipno. Its population is 14,791 (2010). The town is the birthplace of actress Pola Negri, economist Leszek Balcerowicz and politician Ya'akov Meridor. History Lipno dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was part of the Piast-ruled Kingdom of Poland. In 1349 it was granted town rights. Brodnica
Brodnica (german: Strasburg in Westpreußen or Strasburg an der Drewenz) is a town in northern Poland with 28,574 inhabitants . It is the seat of Brodnica County in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The nearby Brodnica Landscape Park, a protected area, gets its name from Brodnica.
