Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors is an Argentine sports club based in La Paternal, Buenos Aires. Alfredo Palacios
Alfredo Lorenzo Palacios (August 10, 1880 – April 20, 1965) was an Argentine socialist politician. Palacios was born in Buenos Aires, and studied law at University of Buenos Aires, after graduation he became a lawyer and taught at the university until becoming a dean. In 1902, he was elected to the Buenos Aires' legislature, and in 1904, to the Chamber of Deputies for the 4th Circunscription of Buenos Aires, which corresponded to the ''barrio'' of La Boca, thus becoming the first socialist in the Argentine Congress and in the American continent. Palacios helped create many laws including the "Palacios Law" (''Ley Palacios'') against sexual exploitation, and others regulating child and women labor, working hours and Sunday rest. Palacios was elected Senator in 1932, serving until the Senate was dissolved in 1943, and in 1955 was appointed ambassador to Uruguay. 1926 Argentine Primera División
The 1926 Argentine Primera División was the 35th season of top-flight football in Argentina. The AFA championship began on April 18 and ended on January 16, 1927. The AAm season began on April 4 and ended on November 21. All Boys, Colegiales, El Porvenir, Nueva Chicago, Sportivo Barracas and Temperley moved to rival league Asociación Amateurs when most of fixtures had been disputed. Teams promoted where Sportivo Balcarce (AFA) and Talleres (RE) (AAm). La Paternal or Paternal ( en, The Paternal) is a ''neighborhood'' or district in the centre of Buenos Aires city, Argentina. It was founded in 1904 by a city decree (''decreto'') and was named 'La Paternal' after the train station in the neighbourhood, a former industrial zone. Club El Porvenir is an Argentine football club, located in the Gerli district of Lanús Partido in Greater Buenos Aires. The team currently plays in Primera C, the regionalised fourth division of the Argentine football league system. History The club was established on 12 September 1915 in Villa Porvenir, Avellaneda Partido, primarily as a Greco-Roman wrestling club. The football team debuted in official tournaments in 1918, playing its home games at the Club "Sígame Si Puede" ("Follow me if You can", in Spanish, current Sportivo Dock Sud). In 1919 El Porvenir acquired the field where its first stadium would be built, winning the title that allowed the squad to promote to the "intermedia" (second) division, current Primera B, one year later, therefore promoting to the Primera División, the top division of Argentine league system. The Argentine Football Association ( es, Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, ; AFA) is the governing body of football in Argentina based in Buenos Aires. It organises the main divisions of Argentine league system (from Primera División to Torneo Regional Federal and Primera D), including domestic cups: Copa Argentina, Copa de la Liga Profesional and the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional.
