Alfredo Angeli (7 August 1927, in Livorno – 25 November 2005, in Rome) was an Italian director and screenwriter. Born in Livorno, Angeli entered the cinema industry in 1958, being the assistant director of Luigi Zampa in ''The City Stands Trial''; after having collaborated with, among others, Camillo Mastrocinque and Vittorio Cottafavi, in the early 1960s he started working as a director of commercial, and between the 1960s and the 1990s he directed over 3,000 commercials. He made his feature film directorial debut in 1967, with the satirical '' The Strange Night'', which was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival. She last played in 2015 for the Western New York Flash in the National Women's Soccer League after a preseason trade with the Washington Spirit. Marco Angeli di Sartena (1905-1985) was a politician from Corsica, who wrote in the famous Literary Review "A Muvra". He was an active irredentist, supporting the union of Corsica to Italy. Life He was born in Sartena, from a noble Corsican family with roots in the Republic of Genoa. After moving to Italy because of his irredentism ideals, he graduated in medicine at the University of Pisa. The irredentist Marco Angeli di Sartèna wrote in 1924 the first book in " Corso" (titled ''Terra còrsa'') and many lyrics in this dialect/language (titled ''Malincunie'') in Ajaccio. Stefano degli Angeli (Venice, September 23, 1623 – Padova, October 11, 1697) was an Italian mathematician, philosopher, and Jesuate. He was member of the Catholic Order of the Jesuats (Jesuati). In 1668 the order was suppressed by Pope Clement IX. Angeli was a student of Bonaventura Cavalieri. From 1662 until his death he taught at the University of Padua. Francesco Degli Angeli (or Angelis) (Sorrento, 1567 – Colela, Ethiopia, 21 October 1628) was an Italian Jesuit missionary to Ethiopia. Life He entered the Society of Jesus in 1583. After two years (1602–04) spent in the mission of the Indies, he travelled to Ethiopia, where they called him "the man who was always cheerful". Angeli stood high in the favour of two successive Kings of Ethiopia. He made converts, among them the brother of the King and lords of the court, but did not succeed bringing about the reunion of the Abyssinian Church with the Roman Catholic Church, because of opposition from Ethiopian monks. Edgar Angeli (11 May 1892 – 17 June 1945) was a Croatian rear admiral who served as the commander of the Navy of the Independent State of Croatia between 1943 and 1944. Biography Angeli was born in 1892 in Karlovac, Austria-Hungary, Angeli attended the Naval Academy of Austrian-Hungarian. As a naval officer, he participated in World War I serving in the fleet based in Rijeka. In 1919 he was assigned to War Navy of Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, holding the rank of lieutenant commander. He later rose to the rank of Captain while commanding a river fleet, and witnessed the capitulation of Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
