Alexander J. Michaels (born October 16, 1983), stage name Alexis Michelle, is an American drag queen and singer who came to international attention on the ninth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. As of 2019, she stars in the TLC transformational makeover television series '' Dragnificent'' as the makeup and body image expert. She released her debut album, ''Lovefool'', in 2018. Early life Michaels was raised in New York City. He attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts and received a BFA in musical theatre from the University of Michigan. He started doing drag when he was 10 years old and had paid professional gigs starting in 2003. His cousin is singer Lisa Loeb. He comes from a Jewish descent. He comes from the same drag mother as season 10 contestant Dusty Ray Bottoms. RuPaul's DragCon NYC
RuPaul's DragCon NYC is an annual fan convention and expo of drag culture held in New York City, which debuted in September 2017. It is based on the successful RuPaul's DragCon LA which was launched in Los Angeles in 2015 billed as a “convention that celebrates ‘the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all’”. The NYC event is considered the "world's largest celebration of drag culture" with 100,000 attendees. "Baby I'm Burnin'" is a song by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. It was written by Parton who also produced the track with Gary Klein and Charles Koppelman who served as executive producer. The song was first released on Parton's twentieth solo studio album ''Heartbreaker'' in July 1978. It was released as a double A-side single with "I Really Got the Feeling" on November 6, 1978 by RCA Victor. "Baby I'm Burnin'" was aimed at pop radio, while "I Really Got the Feeling" was aimed at country radio. The Cardigans is a Swedish rock band formed in Jönköping, Sweden, in 1992 by guitarist Peter Svensson, bassist Magnus Sveningsson, drummer Bengt Lagerberg, keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson and lead singer Nina Persson. Post-hiatus shows since 2012 have been with Oskar Humlebo on guitar instead of Svensson. The twelfth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' premiered on February 28 and concluded on May 29, 2020. The competition was broadcast on VH1 in the United States and saw 13 new queens competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar".
