Thomas Taylour, 2nd Marquess Of Headfort
Thomas Taylour, 2nd Marquess of Headfort KP PC (4 May 1787 – 6 December 1870), styled Viscount Headfort from 1795 to 1800 and Earl of Bective from 1800 to 1829, was an Anglo-Irish Whig politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Meath from 1812 to 1830. Headfort was the son of Thomas Taylour, 1st Marquess of Headfort, and his wife Mary (née Quin), and succeeded his father in the marquessate in 1829. In 1831 he was created Baron Kenlis, of Kenlis in the County of Meath, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, which entitled him to an automatic seat in the House of Lords (his other titles being in the Peerage of Ireland). He was sworn of the Irish Privy Council in 1835 and served in the Whig administration of Lord Melbourne as a Lord-in-waiting (government whip in the House of Lords) from 1837 to 1841. Mary Anne Whitby
Mary Anne Theresa Whitby (née Symonds; 1783–1850) was an English writer, landowner, and artist. She became an authority on the cultivation of silkworms, and in the 1830s reintroduced sericulture to the United Kingdom. During the 1840s, she corresponded extensively with Charles Darwin about silkworms, conducting breeding experiments to help develop his theories of natural selection. Early life Mary Anne Theresa Symonds was born in 1783, the daughter of the Royal Navy officer Captain Thomas Symonds.Colp, p. 870 Her elder brother William later became Surveyor of the Navy. Around the turn of the century she married Captain John Whitby, with whom she had one daughter. Whitby was flag captain for Admiral Sir William Cornwallis. Frederick West (1767 – 22 March 1852) was a British politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1801 to 1806. Early life West was the third son of Mary (née Wynyard), Countess De La Warr, and Lieutenant-General John West, 2nd Earl De La Warr, Lord Chamberlain to Queen Charlotte. Frederick Richard West
Frederick Richard West (6 February 1799 – 1 May 1862) was a British Tory MP for Denbigh Boroughs and East Grinstead. He was a member of the Canterbury Association. Early life West was born in 1799 in Hanover Square, London. He was the third son of the Hon. Frederick West (1767–1852) and Maria Myddleton. He attended Eton and Christ Church, Oxford, from where he left in 1818 without a degree. Mary Adelaide Virginia Thomasina Eupatoria "Patsy" Cornwallis-West (née FitzPatrick; The Vale, Bailieborough 28 October 1854 – 21 July 1920) was an Irish-born aristocrat and a prominent mistress of the future King Edward VII. Early life Cornwallis-West was born into an upper-class Irish family as the daughter of the Rev. Frederick, a descendant of Barnaby Fitzpatrick, 1st Baron Upper Ossory, and Lady Olivia FitzPatrick, daughter of Thomas Taylour, 2nd Marquess of Headfort.
