Donnersbergkreis
The Donnersbergkreis is a district (''Kreis'') in the middle of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Neighboring districts are Bad Kreuznach (district), Bad Kreuznach, Alzey-Worms, Bad Dürkheim (district), Bad Dürkheim, Kaiserslautern (district), Kaiserslautern, Kusel (district), Kusel. History The district was created in 1969 by merging the districts Kirchheimbolanden (district), Kirchheimbolanden and Rockenhausen (district), Rockenhausen. Geography The district is located around the highest mountain of the Palatinate, the ''Donnersberg'' with 687 m above sea level. Classicism, in the arts, refers generally to a high regard for a classical period, classical antiquity in the Western tradition, as setting standards for taste which the classicists seek to emulate.
