Alan Dapre
Alan Dapré (born 1965) is a British writer who has successfully written for television, radio and publishers for over 20 years. He worked as a creative and originator for Ragdoll Productions for eight years, and his episodes of Brum, Boohbah and Blips are broadcast worldwide. He co-wrote with Robin Stevens and with Joel Wilenius developed many quirky stories and characters for the new BBC show, Tronji. Alan Dapré is author of over 60 books for children, and 'Everything You Need To Know When You're Eight' was read in audio book form by Tony Robinson. Alan Dapré has written plays for BBC Radio 4 including 'Stranger In The Home' - a monologue read by Bernard Hepton. Philip Middlemiss
Philip Middlemiss (born Philip Sean Lloyd; 19 June 1963) is an English television, radio actor and businessman, best known for playing bookmaker Des Barnes in ITV's '' Coronation Street'' between 1990 and 1998. The character was killed off, ordered by Brian Park, who was the programme's producer at the time. He subsequently appeared in ITV's '' Where the Heart Is'' for a few series in the 2000s. Career After leaving school, Middlemiss joined the National Youth Theatre and studied drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Bernard Hepton
Francis Bernard Heptonstall (19 October 1925 – 27 July 2018) better known by the stage name Bernard Hepton, was an English theatre director and actor. Best known for his stage work and television roles in teleplays and series, he also appeared briefly on radio and in film. Early life and education Hepton was born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire. His father, Bernard senior, was an electrician, while his mother Hilda (née Berrington) was from a mill-working family. Brought up as a Catholic, he attended St Bede's Grammar School. His short-sight meant he was unable to serve in the British Army during the Second World War. He trained as an aircraft engineer and draughtsman while undertaking firewatching duties. Theatre Hepton trained at the Bradford Civic Playhouse under director Esme Church. Ragdoll Productions is a British television production company founded in 1984 by Anne Wood, who had previously worked for Yorkshire Television and TV-am. ''Tronji'' is a CG animated children's TV series and a multiplayer online game, produced in the United Kingdom and aimed at children aged six to nine years. It was commissioned by CBBC, produced by Ragdoll Productions (their first CBBC-only production for years since Teletubbies) and was distributed globally by BBC Worldwide. Andrew Davenport devised the television format for Tronji, created the key characters and is the series producer. Anne Wood had the original concept for Tronji and was the initial producer.
