al-Malikiyah District ( ar, منطقة المالكية, mantiqah, manṭiqat al-Mālikiyah) is a Districts of Syria, district of al-Hasakah Governorate in eastern Rojava, Syria. The administrative centre is the city of al-Malikiyah. al-Malikiyah is both the northernmost and easternmost district in Syria. At the 2004 census, it had a population of 191,994. Districts Of Syria
The 14 governorates of Syria, or ''muhafazat'' (sing. ''muhafazah''), are divided into 65 districts, or ''manatiq'' (sing. ''mintaqah''), including the city of Damascus. Rojava
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), also known as Rojava, is a de facto autonomous region in northeastern Syria. It consists of self-governing Regions of North and East Syria, sub-regions in the areas of Afrin Region, Afrin, Jazira Region, Jazira, Euphrates Region, Euphrates, Raqqa, Al-Thawrah, Tabqa, Manbij and Deir ez-Zor Governorate, Deir Ez-Zor. Al-Yaarubiyah
Al-Yaarubiyah ( ar, ٱلْيَعْرُبِيَّة, al-Yaʿrubīyah; ku, تلکۆچەر, Til Koçer) is a town in al-Hasakah Governorate, Syria. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Al-Yaarubiyah had a population of 6,066 in the 2004 census. It is the administrative center of a nahiyah ("subdistrict") consisting of 62 localities with a combined population of 39,459 in 2004. Its population are mostly Arabs of the Shammar tribe. In the course of the civil war, the town initially came under the control of jihadist rebels, including the al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State, but was later captured by the YPG, bringing it into the AANES.
