Adrian Masters
Adrian Masters is a Welsh journalist, presenter, author and political moderator. He is currently the Political Editor at ITV Cymru Wales. He previously worked for the BBC, contributing to BBC Radio 4's Yesterday In Parliament, most BBC Wales television programming, and both the Good Evening Wales and Good Morning Wales radio shows. Early life and career Masters was born and grew up in Newport, Wales, where he continues to live. Masters began his journalism career at the now defunct Touch Radio, and later Red Dragon fm in 1993 (now Capital South Wales). BBC News Masters worked on a number of BBC television broadcasts including Dragon's Eye, the Welsh edition of the Politics Show, and BBC Two's am.pm. On radio he hosted shows including Called to Order, Good Evening Wales, and occasionally he presented Good Morning Wales. Newport ( cy, Casnewydd; ) is a city and Local government in Wales#Principal areas, county borough in Wales, situated on the River Usk close to its confluence with the Severn Estuary, northeast of Cardiff. Media Wales Ltd. is a publishing company based in Cardiff, Wales. As of 2009 it was owned by Reach plc (formerly known as the Trinity Mirror Group). It was previously known as the Western Mail & Echo Ltd. History The ''Western Mail'' was founded in 1869 by the 3rd Marquess of Bute as a Conservative newspaper. Green Gartside
Green Gartside (born Paul Julian Strohmeyer; 22 June 1955) is a Welsh songwriter, singer and musician. He is the frontman of the band Scritti Politti. Early life Gartside was born on 22 June 1955 in Cardiff, Wales, to a " Cup-a-Soup salesman dad and a hairdresser/secretary/whatever mum". His childhood was not always happy, with the family, which included a sister, having to move every twelve months or so because of his father's job. He ended up "living all over ales from Bridgend to Newport to Ystrad Mynach". Beard Liberation Front
The Beard Liberation Front (BLF) is a British interest group which campaigns in support of beards and opposes pogonophobic discrimination against those who wear them. It was founded in 1995 by socialist historian Keith Flett who continues to organise and represent the organisation. Apart from its numerous campaigns in support of beards and against pogonophobia in the workplace and discrimination against those who wear beards as part of their religion, it currently hosts the annual Beard of the Year award. On the face of it, the campaign is semi-humorous, with its outwardly frivolous aims, its occasionally outlandish claims of discrimination and conspiracy, and its founder, who is also the spokesman for the Campaign for Real Conkers. UK Independence Party
The UK Independence Party (UKIP; ) is a Eurosceptic, right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. The party reached its greatest level of success in the mid-2010s, when it gained two members of Parliament and was the largest party representing the UK in the European Parliament.
