Acueducto De Ponce
The Acueducto de Ponce (Ponce Aqueduct), formally Acueducto Alfonso XII, is the name of a historic 2.5-mileClarksburg Telegram. Clarksburg, West Virginia. Vol XXXVII. Number 38. 29 July 1898. Page 1. gravity-based water supply system in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. It was designed in 1875 by Timoteo Luberza and built the following years. This aqueduct was the first modern water distribution system built in Puerto Rico. The Aqueduct (or, more precisely, its conduit channel at its highest elevation point in Barrio Mameyes) was known as ''El Puente de los Suicidios'' (Bridge of the suicides). It was declared a National Historic Monument on 17 June 2015. Rio Chiquito
Chiquito River ( es, Río Chiquito) is a river in the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico. This river feeds into Río Portugués in the sector called Parras, about north of the intersection of PR-504 and PR-505. It has its origin in the mountains west of Montes Llanos. Río Chiquito is fed by Quebrada del Pastillo. This river is one of the 14 rivers in the municipality of Ponce. Origin Río Chiquito has its origin in barrio Montes Llanos at an altitude of . It forms in the area north of Camino Paseo del Río and west of Camino Paseo Panorámico II, in south central Montes Llanos, about half kilometer west of PR-505, and approximately north of the northern terminus of PR-504.
