Aberdeen Safer Community Trust
Aberdeen Safer Community Trust (Absafe) is an Aberdeen, Scotland based community safety charity. It was established in 1997, taking over from the local authority Safer Cities Project. It promotes a partnership approach to community safety issues. About Absafe is dedicated to helping community groups across the whole of Aberdeen to turn their community safety ideas into action. They help with setting up Neighbourhood watch programmes, youth diversion projects, safety items, risk awareness campaigns and can also provide funding. The trust is partly sponsored by the public sector and also raises funds by organising fundraisers and sponsored events. Absafe is able to award grants to community safety schemes of up to £3,000. Neighbourhood Watch (United Kingdom)
Neighbourhood Watch in the United Kingdom is the largest voluntary crime prevention movement covering England and Wales with upwards of 2.3 million household members. The charity brings neighbors together to create strong, friendly and active communities in which crime can be tackled. Grampian Police
Grampian Police was, between 1975 and 2013 (replaced by Police Scotland), the territorial police force of the northeast region of Scotland, covering the council areas of Aberdeenshire, the City of Aberdeen, and Moray (the former Grampian region). The Force area also covered some of the North Sea, giving Grampian Police the responsibility of policing the oil and gas platforms of the North East. The force was headquartered in Aberdeen. Grampian Fire And Rescue Service
Grampian Fire and Rescue Service was the statutory fire and rescue service for the area of Grampian, Scotland from 1975 until 2013. It was amalgamated into the single Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in April 2013. The service provided emergency cover for residential areas, as well as providing it for a local Industrial harbour, oil and gas terminals and a commonly used heliport. FRS area Grampian Fire and Rescue Service covered the geographical areas of the Moray, Aberdeenshire Council, and Aberdeen City Council.
