Aage Bohr
Aage Niels Bohr (; 19 June 1922 – 8 September 2009) was a Danish nuclear physicist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975 with Ben Roy Mottelson and James Rainwater "for the discovery of the connection between collective motion and particle motion in atomic nuclei and the development of the theory of the structure of the atomic nucleus based on this connection". Starting from Rainwater's concept of an irregular-shaped liquid drop model of the nucleus, Bohr and Mottelson developed a detailed theory that was in close agreement with experiments. Since his father, Niels Bohr, had won the prize in 1922, he and his father are one of the six pairs of fathers and sons who have both won the Nobel Prize and one of the four pairs who have both won the Nobel Prize in Physics. Aage Bertelsen
Aage Bertelsen (28 September 1873 – 9 September 1945) was a Danish painter. He was a member of the Denmark Expedition to North-East Greenland. He has also worked for Kähler Keramik in Næstved. Biography Early life and career Aage Bertelsen was born in Næstved where his father, the painter Rudolf Bertelsen, was an art teacher at the Herlufsholm Bording School. From an early age he was taught to draw and paint by his father as well as by the painter L.A. Ring who was a close friend of the family. Aage Friis
Aage Friis (16 August 1870 – 5 October 1949) was a Danish historian and professor at the University of Copenhagen. Biography Aage Friis was born in Korsør in Slagelse, Denmark. He was the son of Johan Frederik Friis (1833-1910) and Juliane Marie Landkilde (1832-1911). His father was a parish priest who also taught his children together with other children from the village. In 1884, he was enrolled in Viborg Katedralskole. At Copenhagen, Friis completed his studies in 1896 with a master's degree in history. He was a member of the university library at the University of Copenhagen from 1891 to 1900, during which he graduated with a doctorate in 1899 with a dissertation on Andreas Peter Bernstorff and Ove Høegh-Guldberg. In 1913, he became the history professor at the University of Copenhagen, where he remained until his retirement in 1935. He was rector of the university in 1932-1933. Aage Grundstad
Aage Grundstad (May 26, 1923 – April 8, 2012) was a Norwegian award-winning accordion player, originally from Vefsn. Grundstad studied at the Oslo Conservatory of Music and graduated from the Veitvedt Music School. He had his solo debut on NRK in 1946, where he later had several radio concerts. He founded the club Friends of Old-Fashioned Dance (''Venner av gammeldans'') in Oslo with Angell Gabrielsen in 1954 and founded the Norwegian Accordionists' Association in 1971. Grundstad had his own ensemble with Knut Trøen, who studied the Norwegian figure dance (''turdans'') tradition, and released several albums. Aage Hertel (17 October 1873 – 3 January 1944) was a Danish stage, radio and film actor whose career began in the 1890s working as a stagehand and set painter. Hertel appeared in approximately ninety films during the silent film area. Early life and career Aage Hertel was born in Frederiksberg to Royal Danish Army colonel Harald Christian Hertel and Michaelle Elisabeth (''née'' Thomsen) Hertel. After he finished his studies, he began working as a stagehand and set painter before studying drama at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. In 1901, he began an engagement as an actor at the Dagmarteatret in Copenhagen which lasted until 1909. Aage Storm Borchgrevink (born 1969) is a Norwegian human rights activist, writer and literary critic. He works at the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, where he focuses on the human rights situation in Russia, Chechnya and Georgia. Career He was born in Oslo, and graduated in literary history at the University of Oslo. His fiction releases are the novel ''Arkivene'' from 2000 and the short story collection ''Folkevandringer'' from 2004. He has written two travelogues; ''Eurostories.
